DAVID LYLE BROOKS TALLADEGA- Funeral ser- vice for David Lyle Brooks, 46, will be Saturday, Septem- ber 14, at 11 a.m. at Talladega Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Chet Roden officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Mr. Brooks passed away September 13, 2007 at UAB Medical Center in Birming- ham. He is survived by his par- ents, Roy and Betty Brooks of Talladega; one brother, Russ Brooks of Pelham; one sister Shelley Adams and her hus- band Joe of Talladega; one nephew, Joseph Adams; two nieces Haley Brook and Emi- ly Adams. Active Pallbearers are Andy Joiner, Tommy Haywood,To- ny Rutledge, Mark Owsley, Joseph Adams, Ray Raines Steve Lovelace, Larry Press- ley, Wes Patterson, Lamar Edwards, and Neal Harris. Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his grandparents Lehman and Gertrude Love- lace and Joe and Audean Brooks. David was a native and lifelong resident of Talla- dega County. He was mem- ber of the First Baptist Church in Talladega. He was an Eagle Scout in Troop 130. He was instrumental in start- ing local channel TV 7. He was a graduate of Talladega High School class of 1979. He was a graduate of the South- eastern Bible College class of 2001. He was a graduate of the Florida Costal School of Law class of 2004. He was a member of the Talladega County Bar Association, and the State of Alabama Bar As- sociation. David established his Law Practice in Talladega. David’s favorite Bible Verse was Hebrew 9;27 “ And as it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judg- ment”. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Talladega Funeral Home will direct.
